This was the first meeting since February. Only 5 members were in attendance but it was good to catch up with each other. Not much happening with car shows. Many have been canceled or rescheduled. We will try to meet again on August 31st. Come if you feel safe to go out and don’t forget your mask. We all had our masks, but took them off to eat. 🙂
Coronavirus
June 26th, 2020
Our last club meeting was in February. Since then all club activities were canceled due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. It is now the end of June. Though the virus is still out there and one should be cautious when planning gatherings we hope to hold our first club meeting on July 27th. We look forward to seeing everyone again and yet still take the suggested precautions of wearing a mask, sanitation and social distancing.
Stay safe!!

Richmond Region AACA Car Show
Boonsboro United Methodist Church Car Show
The show was held on August 17th., 2019 and there was a very good turnout from our club. There were approximately eight cars in attendance. It was a very hot Saturday, but thanks to Reggie the members could sit in the shade. At the church there was peach ice cream and other good eats to enjoy. The Kituskies came in costume with their Model T. Charles Thaxton’s Packard won best in show. Check out the photos below.
James River Transportation Festival
The Lynchburg Region AACA responded to an invitation from the James River Visitor Center to attend the James River Transportation Festival car show on Saturday July 27th.
The Center is located just a short distance on the parkway off of Route 501 North, past Big Island. There were 12 club members attending with 6 cars. Weather was nice and there was a good amount of foot traffic stopping to admire our cars and asking questions about them. We sat in the shade (or moved with the shade) under a large tree and enjoyed visiting with our fellow club members. So relaxing and very enjoyable.
Many thanks to Randy Martin for setting this event up for us.
